Gold Statement Necklaces - Fraser Ross

Hey guys welcome back to my channel. Today's video is going to be all about gold statement necklaces and I know you're probably thinking, again, but they say I’m going to show you how to style them. A lot of you guys went on and bought some statement necklaces and you've told me that I went, I bought some statement necklaces, but now have a dilemma. I have no idea how to wear them, what I would pair them with, how I’m going to style them, you girls know I always got you. I'll hook you over, I’m going to show you some of my ways in which I personally like to style statement necklaces and maybe you get some inspiration. Let's start off with some graphic tees, graphic tees are perfect for those really chunky statement necklaces the ones that look like chains.

You can add these to any graphic tee to take it to the next level. If you're going to a bar, a house party, anything that you want to dress up, but you don't want to look overly dressed. You can just throw on a graphic tee and add your favourite chunky statement necklace - I personally love the edge that it gives to a look.

A very popular way of wearing statement necklaces and blouses or collared shirts it's a button it all the way up to the top and let the necklace peek through the bottom. For me it's a little bit too conservative, so I like to just let in it and pop the top button. That's just my personal preference but go ahead and wear it however you like. Me here I’m just showing you how that necklace fits right under the collar. Denim shirts are actually my favourite for statement necklaces because you can mix and match them with anything.

I decided to style this look with a lace skirt, you guys like it? Fringe necklaces also look really nice with these buttoned up collared shirts and this one is from forever 21 I think and I really like the citron colour and I decided to match it with a citron clutch. Here I got a little business chic for you guys, don't be scared to wear statement necklaces to work, because they look really nice paired with blouses. For a little bit more of an edge and a less conservative look, what I like to do is that I could open up the collar and pop the collar a little bit and it filled the negative.

If you're wearing this to work you know you might not want to open it too far down, maybe just one or two buttons and then you can always throw a blazer over. Another easiest way to style statement necklaces is with a basic white tee. Take any pair of jeans, throw on a white tee and then spice it up with a statement necklace. When pairing a white tee with jeans, I also like to look for necklaces that have that rustic and teak look to them. Do it, I mean how they're a little bit dirty looking if that makes sense, but I feel like they look more edgy and casual.

Here I did a little boho thing with a white tee and a boho looking necklace and I paired it with a maxi skirt. The possibilities of a white tee and statement necklaces are and those my friends. For halter tops, I usually like to go with necklaces that are a little bit more round, that way they stay inside the perimeters of the shirt and I love to pair them with nice long maxi skirts. I feel like it looks very boho and beachy, these outfits would be perfect if you're on a tropical vacation and you're going out at night to dinner, wear something like that. Another look that I’ve been loving mainly and I think looks really neat, is to wear a halter top with a statement necklace and then do a very beachy boho side rate. This type of neckline is usually rounded and high collar and it's called jewel necklines because it really exposes statement necklaces. This is probably one of my favourite pieces of jewellery if I really want to show off a piece.

So pretty much, just look for shirts or dresses that have a very high neckline if you really want to expose a piece and make it pop. Statement necklaces are also a great way to add colour to your outfit, it doesn't always have to be all black. Like if you have just one neutral colour and then you want to bring in a pop of colour with a statement necklace, that'll look really nice. I like how this particular necklace is right at the base of my neck where the shirt meets my skin because it doesn't have that weird gap and you can usually adjust these because they come in different sizes.

If you want to wear a statement necklace with a strapless shirt, I say go for necklaces that are very short, that fit high up on your neck. That way it doesn't really interfere with your shirt. I want to give you guys some examples of shirts to avoid, something like this would just be too much if you add a necklace over it and then also shirts like this that already have jewels on them. It would be too much to add a necklace to this because it would look very busy.

Finished Charm Bracelet - Fraser Ross

Everybody its Cara. I am back today with the fourth and final video for my little series on how I make my silver charm bracelets. In the first video, we went over all the supplies that I gather, the tools that I use, basically how I kind of prep to get ready to make the charm bracelet. In the second video, I believe we talked about how I place my charms and also I think reviewed how we how I use jump rings and split rings, and in the third video I showed you guys how I put the beads on the head pins, how I get all those prepped and ready to go and I think in the third video, I had mentioned that I would save a button or bead or something like that for us to put together, put on the charm bracelet together.

I have to tell you I didn't do that, I got a little excited because I wanted to get it done and thought I was going to add one or two last little things and kind of got to that spot in the project where I thought that it looked right and I didn't want to add any more. So I wanted to share the charm bracelet with you and also kind of show you, you know, the finished product and show you another one that I made, so you get to see you know a couple different versions of charm bracelets, because obviously there's a million and one ways you can make them, but I wanted to show you some of the final products.

So here is the one that we started together, all done with everything attached and it's nice and chunky with all sorts of goodness on it, just like I hoped. You can see I went back in and I added lots and lots of really pretty purple beads. I went back through and I added several buttons, all of which are vintage except for this one these two and these two right here are, laughs, and I absolutely love them. I love all buttons as you guys know if you've been watching my video, but I just think the vintage ones, especially these glass ones, are just oh, here's another little one right here. This little flower, anyway I just think these little vintage buttons are just, I don't know, a really nice special touch to put on a project. To me the history of them just adds a little something extra, so anyway there's all those little buttons and you can see some of the big beads that I incorporate. In there, the charms are still in there but that's the finished product and I do want to tell you guys something I showed you.

This chain, this is the, basically it has two rows of chain and so you have, let me show you, I'm going to do a horrible drawing but just so you guys are aware, I had two rows of chain. I'm sorry, I'm doing a little quick sketch so you can kind of see it. I had the two rows of chain like that and then they were connected, obviously a little nicer than what I'm doing but they were connected with more chain this way, so I had said something about how I like to count out all my links to evenly space all the things I put on the charm bracelet.

So these having two rows and then more links in between made it extremely difficult for my little OC brain, OCD brain, to do. I still think I did it, I think it looks pretty balanced and you know everything seems to be pretty well spaced out for me, but just be aware if you use any of that chain, that you have to deal with a lot more links. If you have my kind of brain, okay I hope that made sense, so anyway here's that bracelet that we started with. You can see all of its beads and buttons and charms and all that good stuff, that's one just move this up a little bit, here's the second one I made, which is completely different, different colours, different styles, everything and I love it, it's gorgeous. I think it has a very vintage theme to it for a completely different person and you can see again I used a lot of vintage buttons.

There's a little bit vintage one right there, this one's vintage this one's a bit vintage as is this one and this one, this one, and then the rest that I put on here are geared to look very vintage. I put on some really cool charms, that I’ve shown you guys and added the beads and then I also added a couple little pieces of vintage lace because this particularly loves all things vintage. So I'm hoping that she will like this bracelet that I made for her, but anyway that's another option. I just kind of wanted to show you guys that these bracelets are a ton of fun and you can do so many things with them and they're really, really easy. You just have to try it and there's a ton of other videos out there.

I'm sure some that will do a much better job on showing you how to use a split ring or jump ring or a head pin or whatever, but I just wanted you guys to know that even as a beginner you can do one of these silver chain charm bracelets. They're not difficult, you just need a few simple tools, a few supplies and some time and of all the crafty things I do. Outside of the double rows of chain, I enjoy doing these bracelets, probably, almost probably almost the best. The best thing I do just because they don't typically take that long, you know once you get started and you get moving, they keep going. What's On My Charm Bracelet

Hey everyone, today I'm going to show you guys what's on my bracelet and every time I wear my charm bracelet in any my videos, I get a ton of requests on which silver charms I have. So I figured I'd do this video and show you guys my charms, but before I start, I want to leave a little disclaimer just letting you guys know that I'm really not trying to brag and this was requested and also this is a charm bracelet.

I've been collecting charms for about two years now and each charm has a little story for it, so I just wanted to show you guys my charms and what they mean to me and what experiences I have had that got me those charms. I thought this would be an interesting video to do and if you have a bracelet and you want to show me, what charms you have and tell me your stories, leave it down below, but I'm just going to go ahead and get started.

This is the little pouch that my bracelet came in, along with the box and this is my charm bracelet. I'm just going to quickly close it, just to show you guys what it looks like closed. The clasp I have is just like the classic clasp that you put in like this and then you snap it shut. It’s a little bit of a tough closure and it's really hard to open, so what I do is, I didn't buy that special opener that they have. I just use a little flat clip like this and it's the perfect size to fit into the closure and close it. So that's a little tip if you guys have a bracelet of your own.

I'm just going to get started. I guess in the order that they are on my bracelet. the first charm that I have is an R and obviously this is pretty self-explanatory, my name is Rachel, so my first initial starts with an R, my aunt got me this one for Christmas last year. This next charm here is a really pretty flower and I actually really love this a lot. It’s really unique and delicate and elegant, I would say my parents bought me this one when we went to Buffalo lasts two weekends ago.

They treated me to that and I think it's really pretty, I just love flowers, actually I even love real flowers when people buy flowers for me. I love them all, I can buy them for myself sometimes just because I love flowers so much. The next charm that I have here is a purple crystal charm and my friends got this one for me because they know my favourite colour is purple as you can tell. My room has purple accents, my necklace is purple, I really do love purple. it used to be a lot more shiny when I first got it, I think I need to bring my bracelet to get cleaned but I really like that charm.

The next charm that I have is a dangling 16 and my friends got this charm for me, along with my bracelet for my 16th birthday. Let me know. the next charm that I have is just a plain heart and I always say that this charm because it flips upside down, I always say this charm looks like a bum, but it's true when it flips. It looks like a bum, my aunt also got this charm for me because she loves me, so she got me the heart.

The next charm that I have and I really love this charm I would have to say it's probably my favourite charm and the most meaningful charm that I have and it is a little DSLR camera and I have a little DSLR camera, not little it's pretty big, I'm filming on it right now. I have the Canon Rebel t3i and I always get questions on my videos on what camera I have and I always answer it but people seem to always ask. so that's the camera that I have and I love taking pictures, I make YouTube videos obviously, so I thought that the camera was really appropriate and next charm that I have I really love because of the name. Well actually, there's a little story that goes along with this one. I have the booklet of charms, they can look through, so when I went to this store, I knew which one I wanted.

My parents bought this one for me, they took me along to pick it out and the one that I was looking at was called something like clear daydream or something like that and I actually really liked the name of it, daydream. I thought that was really appropriate because I'm always like dreaming and I have big hopes and dreams, so I thought it was really appropriate. Anyways, the one that I was looking at was pretty similar to this charm, but the lady pulled it out, she pulled out this one and thought it was the daydream one but because they look pretty similar. so then at the end when we're cashing out realized that she showed me the wrong one, but I ended up liking this one better and so this is the one that I got, because it was more sparkly and I really liked it.

I got that one recently on my trip to Buffalo and the final charm that I have is a little butterfly and this is one that my aunt got me. My mom told her to get it because my mom is obsessed with butterflies, not real butterflies, but the symbol of a butterfly. She thinks they’re really pretty so that is the charm that my aunt bought me, but my mom really loves it, so it reminds me of my mom like a butterfly and these are all the charms that I have on  my bracelet.

I have just the classic silver bracelet I don't know what size it is, but it's pretty small and I'm pretty content with the charms that I have on it right now, because I have a ton and I don't really feel like I need too many more, but if I have one to get them for like gifts or anything then I'll definitely add it on but I don't really have my eye on any specific ones.

Something that I find different than a lot of people do is I like to wear all my charms right next to the clasp but all the way on the end of the bracelet because then it looks like the clasp is another charm, especially because mine are mainly all silver, so that's a little tip it will make you look like you have an extra charm and it just looks a lot prettier.

I slid all my charms there instead of wearing it with the charms dangling at the bottom and then the clasp at the top. Do you know what I'm saying? I hope you guys all enjoyed and if you are interested in getting a bracelet, I feel like they're a really nice gift idea for friends. My friends and I, we did a little thing for our 16th birthday that we all pitched in and bought each other a charm and bracelet for all of our birthdays and there's five of us. So it's kind of a friendship bracelet as well.

We all have our own charm bracelets, we all have the same one. It’s a silver one, I also have a black leather wrap but it was attached to a watch that I have and I don't wear any charms on that one. I just wanted to show you guys my charm bracelet chain but that's about it. I hope you guys all enjoy it and I'll talk to you guys in my next video, bye.

Charm Bracelet Tutorial

Hello and welcome to the silver charm bracelet tutorial. In this project we're going to be making a really lovely bracelet, very effective design and very popular at the moment. If you have a little look in the kit and see what we get. So we're going to get a length of chain, some lovely open links, so that we can add in the jump rings. We're going to get some bolt ring clasps, some jump rings and a variety of charms. If we have a look here at the finished pieces, we've got two different sorts, different varieties of charm bracelet you can make, one with a single strand of chain and then this one here where you can layer your chain and add in your charms.

So if we get started and we'll have a look and the tools we'll be using, so we'll be using our red-handled chain nose pliers and round nose blue handle pliers and yellow handled snips, side cutters. So our starting point for our bracelets is to cut a length of chain, so what we want for our chain is we want to create a measure eight roughly seven and a half inches in total, so that's going to be the total for our bracelet. We need to take into account that some of the findings, so the bolt ring clasp and the jump rings, might take up about two and a half centimetres, to an inch.

So if we cut off a length initially about six, six and a half inches that should be fine. I'm going to take my snips and just cut into my chain and I’ll lose a link because they're all joined together. So we've got our lengths of chain, what you can also do which is a really nice and contemporary look and very useful as well, is just adding a little extender chain. So for that you're going to do exactly the same, so you might measure I back an inch or so and again with your snips, cut off, so you've got your chain.

Now going to add in some of the findings. I'm going to open the jump ring, I’m going to find the jump ring and there's a little saw mark at the top and I’ll take my two pliers, I’m going to open and close like a door or a gate. So the saw mark is at the top I’m going to bring pliers towards me to open and close. Now add in one jump ring at the end of the chain and close. So on the other end, I’m going to add in my bolt ring clasp, so again line the saw mark on the jump ring and open up and add in. So pop the chain on and then the bolt ring clasp and close.

So if we want to add in the extender, I’d go back to the other end and again find the saw mark, open and close the jump ring and add in the extender chain, and you can open and close your jump rings a few times, you're always making sure that when you close back up, you get a nice neat finish at the end. So we've now got our base for the charm bracelet, so we can take some of our charms and again to attach the charms we're going to use the jump rings. So again in using our pliers open and close, open like a gate or a door.

I'm going to pop one of our charms on, so rather than close it now, I’m going to let that fall there and I’m going to start off, I’m going to do quite a uniform design with my charms. So I’m going to find the central point, just going to pop the two jump rings together and pick up the link that falls in the centre. Now take the jump ring and pop that into the link and close and you can do as many different variations of the charm bracelet as you'd like.

So I can add in, I could measure out, I’d say every inch or so and add in extra charms, like so and close or I could group them together and pop two charms on one jump ring. So you've got nice movement and group them together. So I’m just working my way, all the way along the chain to create my charm bracelet. So we can lay it out, have a little look how we're how we looking, so you see getting lovely movement there and the charms are going to work really nicely. So if I wanted to do the variation with the multiple chains, I just cut myself different lengths of the longer chain and attach them at either end to the jump rings, but by adding in, as many charms as you like, that gives you your charm bracelet.

How I make my charms

Hi everyone, I’ve had a few requests to show how I make some of the silver charms and gold charms that I hang on my mixed-media pages and mini books. I showed these on previous video and so I just thought I'd share some the more basic techniques here and some of the materials that you will need for those. So most of my charms start with one of these, which is a head pin and it's like an ordinary pin and you've got the pin head there which stops your beads falling off, but obviously it hasn't got the sharp end like a real pin would and I tend to use the longer ones, which are 50 mil or two inches long and just because it's less fiddly.

You can buy an inch long and various sizes and but I find them quite fiddly to work with any smaller, so the two inch ones or the 50 ml is what I would normally use and they come in a range of colours. So you've got your gold and silver, antique gold, bronze and there's a black one as well that i've seen and so it depends what type of project and you're working on as to what you'd need. The one I'm going to show you how to make is this one here, so the head pin runs through the centre. You can't really see the tip of it there. Because I’ve got an extra bead at the bottom and then you attach your beads and obviously whatever type of fastening or clasp be like at the top, so to make this particular one then I start with a spacer bead which these are three mil spacer beads and again you can buy these in the various colours to match your findings and the reason you might need those and firstly obviously as the name suggests, they create a bit of space between your main beads and if you use inexpensive beads then obviously you'd want to space those answer a little bit, but if you're using a large bead like this, you often find the holes are too big to stay on with the tip of your head pin.

So you'd use a spacer bead at the bottom, just to make sure that's secure. So I'm going to thread my first and spacer bead onto the head pin and then I'm going to thread my main beads which is a lampwork bead. This is 20 mil Lambert bead, okay and then I'm going to add another one of the round spacer beads, the same as the one at the bottom. The next type of bead I used on here, these are also spacer beads, but these are a different time. These are daisy spacer beads and these particular ones I think are three mil or four mil, so quite small beads.

I'm going to take one of those and this basically is to frame the next coloured bead, which you can see that the pinky coloured bead that and this one is the natural gemstone beads. You can see those two well and it's rod Knight and it goes particularly well with the heart-shaped bead that shows. So I'm going to thread the rhodolite bead onto there and then another, have the daisy spacer beads and then to finish, I'm going to use another one of the silver spacer beads. So you can use whatever type of beads that you have, I tend to use a lot of the gemstone, natural gemstone beads but they can be quite expensive and I also use a lot of the Swarovski crystals which again can be expensive and so if you're just practicing you might want to start with maybe acrylic or glass beads which tend to be cheaper and the next thing you need you do need some jewellery pliers for this.

These are round nose pliers, because the ends of them are rounded and that's what you need to form a loop at the top before you add any attachments. The other type you can get are the flat nose pliers, which obviously a flat inside but these ones you just grasp with the tip of your plier and then you literally take your finger and bend and your head pin around there and then remove your pliers. And you will need some wire cutters, mine came in a set. You can buy these a reasonable price in assets. You've got everything you need and then what you need to do is just nip the wire and so you've got enough wire to form a loop and join it together. So I'm just going to nip that there and then you take your round nose pliers again, this is going to be a little bit tricky. I'm trying to do it in film but you need to take your round nose pliers right at the very ends trying to focus the camera. I don't think it's going to focus too well so close up be you nip them right near the end and you need to just twist them so that that loop will join together.

I'm just trying to do this quickly and then you need just to make sure that that loop is closed and it's going to help those beads in place and then you can manipulate it. If you're not quite happy, it's not straight and you can obviously manipulate a little bit, but just make sure that it has actually closed up at the top and sometimes I do take my flat nose pliers at this point as well and just flatten it a little bit and close the loop. Look a bit more at the bottom and it is probably the trickiest part, but with a little bit of practice, you can do it relatively quickly. The next thing we want to take our jump rings. These are open jump rings which means when you twist them they're going to open. This one has just been partially opened. What's important when you're using the jump rings, you don't pull them apart, that way you actually twist them and towards you to open them.

Okay so they look like that when they're open and then you can hook onto here. Obviously it needs to go on the loop of your charm and then if you've got any clasps or fastenings that you need to go on. For mine I tend to use 12 mil lobster clasps and but obviously it could be jewellery finding or anything like that, and to make earrings and or whatever it is that you do in and once you've got it on your jump ring, then you use your jump ring to attach where you've just formed that hook with your head pin and then you would twist it closed again, just twist it until it shuts and then you have your finished charm.

Okay probably take a bit more time on yours, the other type you can use, you can use these all the findings called eye pins. These have a loop in them already and I use these if I want to make something that's look a bit longer and dangly and these have got jump rings in between so I'd start off again exactly the same way. I'd start with and one of the eye pins, got one out and probably start with taking these beads. So you start with your beads and then you might want and possibly a spacer bead in between and this time instead of adding lots more beads, you might as I say, might add your spacer bead but not much more.

You'd form your loop straight away, you would cut that off, okay and then before you close your loop, you'd want to attach a jump ring onto there or you can add your jump ring afterwards. Perhaps it might be easier if you beginning to close your loop and then add your jump ring. I'll show you how to do that and just close your loop as you did before. Then you need your jump ring which you need to twist as we said before, twist to open, put it onto the loop and then you would take your head pin and also attach that. Then close your loop, so you're starting to get that more jangly effect. Then you would take your next bead and you do exactly the same thing. It make your loop okay cuts it and close it and then you'd carry on with the next one, so you'd put another jump ring onto there, another eye pin onto there and carry on until you've got as many charms on there as you actually want.

It would look very long, one look something like that with the same finishing technique at the top. So I hope that's been useful for somebody. Pandora Inspired Charm Bracelet

Hey ladies, so welcome back it's been a while since we did a DIY project and I think you ladies will be very fond of this project that we're going to do today. We're going to do some Pandora inspired charm bracelets. So I was in Michaels the craft store a couple weeks ago and I was in there beading section and I noticed that they had these similar to the beads that you will find in the Pandora store. So I thought this will be a great way to show you ladies how to create one because sometimes the Pandora bracelets can be a bit pricey and I just want to show you ladies how you can create a similar look for a little less.

Okay so when I was in my teens I picked up some of their silver charm beads and this is how it looks and I also picked up this bracelet and then when I got home I was on eBay and I was just searching the beadings and I came across these charm beads right here and these are called Rondell beads, so I purchased some green ones, some pink ones and somewhere here these crispy looking ones. Also while I was searching for the Rondell beads I came across a bracelet as well and this one actually has Pandora inscribed on it. So this right here is a replica, I purchased one just so I can show you ladies.

So let's get started on creating this, first you will need your pliers and I purchased these from Michaels as well and you will need some silver jump rings and also I want to show you some silver charms that I picked up, and like I said all of these charms were bought at Michaels and I ended up getting a couple of these different charms on clearance. So ladies make sure you hit up Michaels and check out their beading and charm section. So let's get started on creating this bracelet.

You want to take your bracelet and it has the clasp. You want to make sure that the clasp is closed just like that and I'm going to take my first and I'm just going to slide it down on the bracelet just like that, then I'm going to take another bead and I'm just going to slide it down okay and then you just want to get creative with it so I'm going to take a pink one and slide it and then here's a blue one, slide that on there just like that. Something's going to keep filling my bracelet up until I get it into the design that I want, so ladies this is an excellent project that you can do with your mothers, your daughter's, your sisters or even your girlfriends. You can have a bracelet making party and the special thing about it is you guys will she'll share those special moments in creating this Pandora inspired bracelet and also ladies if you do have a Pandora bracelet you can add these charms to your bracelet as well.

I'm just going to continue adding my beads to it, next I'm going to take one of those silver charms and this is a cute little fish and I'm going to take one of the jump rings. I almost dropped it and normally what I'm doing is I'm sitting at a table, so just bear with me, but I'm going to take these little pliers and I'm going to open up the jump ring just like this and then I'm going to loop it onto the charm like that and then I'm going to close the jump ring back and then I'm just going to take the charm and I'm going to slide it through the bracelet. Okay and then I'm going to take a pink bead and add it and then I'm going to take another charm and I just added this jump ring off camera because I knew I wanted to use it and then I'm just going to slide it through just like that.

I think I may take some of these off and put that this charm over here but ladies just designing however you want to make it. Okay ladies, so I am done. I just closed the bracelet and this is how the bracelet is looking and it is so, so cute. It's very, very cute. I'm going to show you guys what I did with that pink one that had the Pandora on it, so yes ladies these are our Pandora inspired bracelets. So I really hope you ladies found this helpful and found it cute and like I say, make this into a project because there's nothing like spending time with your girls or your daughters or your sisters. Crystal Heart Charm Bracelet

Hello and welcome to another video brought to you by allfreejewelrymaking.com and keepsakecrafts.net. Today we are going to be making this pretty sparkly heart and crystal themed silver charms bracelet.

The first thing you will need to do in order to make your charm bracelet, is to choose your charms and to keep the design cohesive, I’ve decided to limit my charms to heart shapes and crystals. You'll also need some chain and I’d like to buy in a package like this, so I can just cut off a piece that I want. Some jump rings, this time around I’m going to use a toggle clasp, you'll also need basic jewellery making tools like chain nose pliers.

So now you can see I’ve taken the time to do some laying out, the first thing I did was cut a seven inch piece of chain and then I started laying out my crystals. I'm going to put this heavy 18 millimetre heart by the clasp, which will hopefully weight it, so that the bracelet won't always be clasp slide up on my wrist. Then I just spaced out some of these little silver heart charms and the crystal hearts.

I've decided not to use these, or these, I’ll save them for another project and I wanted to fill it in a little bit more so I found these crystals. These are really pretty from vintage jewellery that I found just out and about yard sales, I forget where these came from. So these hearts, if you can see they actually have a hole drilled at the top. So these are going to be attached with jump rings, but these ones are just regular beads and the holes in the some of these beads are a little big, so I’m going to start with a clear seed bead on my head pin. That will keep me from losing these and we'll just make bead dangles out of those and the way you do that, is you start with a pair of chain nose pliers, right at the top of the beam and bend your head pin at a 90-degree angle, just like that.

Then you need a pair of round nose pliers and grab right at that bend and over and I’m actually going to wrap this, so that I don't lose my charm. I'm not going to finish that wrap, I’m just going to start it, like that and I’m going to do that for all four of these. All right, so you can see I’ve done a little bit more laying out, I’ve started the wire wraps on these crystal dangles. The first thing that I’m going to do actually is attach this large 18 millimetre heart, now this heart is so big, that you can see how thick it is where the hole goes through that. You would have to have a ridiculous size jump ring so I’m not going to bother with the jump ring, instead I’m going to use a piece of 22 gauge wire. This is about three inches long so, I’m going to put it through leave one end about an inch long and 22 gauge.

I can actually manipulate a good part of the beginning of the wrap with my fingers, just like that, so that the wire the coming straight up along the heart and I’m going to trim that shorter one down to over a quarter of an inch from that spot and then use round nose pliers to start a loop. I'm going to trim that a little bit more, that's too long and straighten that out, try again. Okay so I’m going to start a loop and then I’m going to put it on my bracelet towards one end. I think I’ll put it on this second link. I'm going to open that up a little, you make your loop, leave it open. Okay and then I’m just going to hold on to that and wrap this remaining end of wire down, so it wraps around both wires that are coming out of the top of the heart and be careful these are crystals, so you can crack them if you're too rough.

I'm just using my chain nose pliers to wrap that end around and once it's all wrapped, tuck it in and now that's on there. I took a little time and counted the links and figured out how often that I have these and I want to have one, pretty much every link, with occasional skipping. I think there's 18 charms here and there's 23 links that I’m going to be using, so I’ll just go ahead and start. These are 6 millimetre jump rings and these are just right for these 10 millimetre hearts. You have to open it fairly wide, pop it on there, I’m going to skip a couple. To start use your chain nose pliers to open your jump ring and close it, make sure that the jump rings are nice and secure, closed well and then it will just keep going. At the metal charms, the same way, and then these are wrapped the same way that I wrap this heart. Pop it on, hold onto it with chain nose pliers and wrap that around. So I’ll be back once I have all of my charms attached.

So here you can see I’ve gone ahead and added all of my charms to my bracelet chain. One thing to keep in mind when you're using these crystals is that the retail on them is about a dollar apiece for the little ones, so when you're adding your jump rings, make sure that you open and close them properly, twisting them open, rather than pulling them open, so that you don't weaken the metal and that you make sure that they're closed securely and tightly, so that you don't lose your nice little charms.

Here we are, just have to add the clasp. Now, when you're using a toggle clasp, you want to always make sure that the end with the bar has a little extra chain, because that you need that in order to bend it over if you have a big bulky bead in the way, you won't be able to bend it over and pop it through the hole around part of your toggle. So I’m just going to go ahead and add these with jump rings and I’ll show you one more time how to properly open a jump ring. Put the split at 12 o'clock, grab one side with a pair of chain nose pliers and the other side with another pair and push one pair away from you and pull the other towards you, so that they're twisted open.

Then we'll just pop these on, just leave one pair of chain nose pliers on the jump ring, that way you don't have to reposition, put on your chain and half of your clasp and then you can just close it up, making sure that the ends are nice and tight, not going to lose anything. One thing i tried to do, I think I succeeded when I was adding these as i added all the charms to the same, the bottom link of the bracelet, so as it as it hangs, they all hang down. I just thought it would look a little nicer as you're wearing it.

You saw me there open that with just one pair of chain nose pliers, sometimes the bigger jump rings you can do that, but I do like to close them with just with pliers, so that I put a little bit of pressure towards the centre, as you bend it, so that you know those ends are meeting and then to close it up you just pop it through the heart and there you have it, isn't that sweet?

The best streetwear jewellery

Okay, so this has been one of my most requested videos, not just a video on jewellery. I wanted to do like a really structured video, breaking down like sizes, all the places I’ve gotten jewellery from and the best places what you want to avoid.

So I want to just put it all in one video. So if you want to rate it or you want to see more videos like this let me know. This is the jewellery I wear on a day-to-day basis and I’ve had a lot more jewellery than just this in the past. I'll show you all of it but I wanted to kind of put it into a few different categories, so the first category I’d say is eBay rings.

This is the first place I looked when I kind of got into rings or started wearing rings. It makes sense because when you first get the rings you kind of just want like to buy a bunch of them. You kind of want to not pay that much, anymore kind of some simple design so if you go on eBay, there's a ton of ring designs. They're all relatively cheap. The ones that I bought maybe in the past is this flower ring that i still wear this day and then these two other rings are both kind of flowery.

They all are solid silver and I think they are about like $20, $25. So they're really cheap and they are real silver. It has been kind of trendy like to wear a ring on every finger, but I’m not super into that. I think it's better to kind of find some things that are meaningful to you, that you like.

The thing about eBay rings is there's a ton of them. A lot of them are from china, they’re shit from china. When you're buying rings from eBay you want sold silver. So nine two five silver, the silver i prefer. The thing about eBay is sometimes they're not what they claim they are. So they'll say it’s solid silver, it's real silver and either won't be silver at all. It will be some weird blend. I've gotten ones in the past and say they're sold silver, but I get them wet and they get kind of like a weird orange colour, so you have to be careful on that. Also even the ones that are solid silver can have a cheaper finish on them just because they're cheaper rings and they'll get super stretched up they'll get scuffed, they'll lose their colour and they'll kind of end up looking kind of like tin foil. That will happen with most eBay rings, I think when you're buying cheaper silver. It just kind of tends to happen. But eBay is definitely if you're just getting in the rings and wonder why the rings are a good place to look. For the ton of designs some keyword searches I would use. I would use maybe gothic, flower, skulls are really popular, basically anything you can think of like ram skull, grim reaper, whatever you can look them up and there's probably going to be a ring for it and it's not going to be that expensive.

Really the only eBay ring that I continue to wear is this little flower ring because it's simple. I like the design and that it wasn't expensive at all. The next category and not really in the category but it's kind of more like meaningful rings, so the ring I wear on my middle finger, my left hand is a ring that was a gift from my mom. It's like ancient Swedish it means something about love. It's a simple ring I like to wear because it has meaning to me obviously and so that's like kind of a other category like I know avery has like it's grandpa's ring or like something like that.

I think it was like a hundred dollars, it's also real silver the other ring i have is actually a ring that's dropping this Saturday, that me and my friend fernando rangel made. We work with a manufacturer, we made a good quality ring. I really like the design on it, it's solid silver, there's a lot of attention to detail on it. There's a rhodium plating this is actually a sample but the real ones will have who is jacov and fernando rangel engraved on the inside. Then it has like a nice little bag. This is a ring that I really like because obviously I love the design, it's good materials but means something to me. Like I said coming out this Saturday it's really affordable so if you want to check it out follow me on Instagram or twitter, I’ll be posting details about pulling trucks and before getting the bracelets I just kind of want to break down ring sizing.

It can be kind of hard to find your ring sizes. I did it through trial and error, but there are some charts online and there is ways to actually measure your fingers. So my index finger and middle finger size 9, my ring fingers are size 8 and my pinky the size 7. It is kind of nice to buy the cheaper rings from eBay, you could you can kind of figure out what size you are, but it is a lot easier to measure i was just too lazy at the time for some reason.

Definitely try to verify your ring sizes before you start buying rings, so you want them to fit on the finger you want. Different rings look good on different fingers. Thicker rings like this i don't think look the best on pointer finger, but on your ring finger i think it looks good. Same without yeah ring, i don't think it would look very good on your pinky, but on your ring finger, middle finger, pointer finger, i think it looks better.

So when you're buying rings you kind of want to kind of lay out your hand, pick a style and buy rings that go good together. That's a little bit about sizing nexus bracelets on my right hand i have a silver bracelet that i got from amazon, I believe was like $50. I'll link in the description, it's solid silver, it's six inches measuring your wrist is super easy. I just always keep it on me, but again because it is cheaper, just through wearing it, it's tarnished a lot. It's super hard to get on so don't bother taking it on and off. What has got really tarnished over the last couple months and on my left hand is the necklace I think my friend had and i just fit around my wrists three times.

This is something that's like super easy to do, if you don't want to buy a bracelet, just find like an old necklace and just wrap it up and then finally, the necklace I wear. I bought in a lot of necklaces in the past and I kind of figured out I don't really like wearing that many necklaces. So I have I think it's a size 18 necklace, this is also from eBay it was super, super cheap. Its real silver and it's just a little spider, tuck it in or wear it out depending on what I’m wearing. So yeah that's all the jewellery i wear. Those are a few the categories and sizing, again this ring is coming out on Saturday, so if you want to check it out but yeah that's my jewellery. Jewellery organization & storage

So this is where I keep the bulk of my jewellery collection. I recently did a declutter video that I will link below where I pulled out literally all of the jewellery I own, laid them out on my table here and went through them one by one and really thought about am I even wearing this. You know what I mean, he's just sitting in my collection because I think it's pretty, but I’m not actually using it you know, so I really got rid of a lot of things and so now this is kind of its whittled down and I feel so much better because I’m really only keeping the things I genuinely wear.

So this jewellery box I got at target for $24.99 it's just three drawers and it's mirrored on all sides so it's kind of a pain to keep clean but so cute and it works really well and it's perfect to hold little things on top of like perfume. So let's go ahead and tear into this and see how I organized it so in this first drawer I kind of have to hold the camera for this part because there's no good way to get a good angle of this top drawer. So in here I just keep all of my dainty necklaces, so I like to keep them this way where they're all the charms are right there so I can see exactly which one of these because if I could only see the gold chain necklace you know I’ve got two silver and two gold how would I know the difference.

So in plus it kind of helps to keep them separate from each other in a way but there's still close enough that they're not taking up tons of room and it works so much better than where I used to keep them where they were all dangling together on my little earring tree and they would get caught up and I would end up just wearing the same necklace each day because it was the one that was just in the front you know, so this is great and it's been pretty easy to keep it this way which I really like and then over here I’ve got other like just really special things that I don't want to get mixed in with my other jewellery, for example this is a bracelet my mom just got me for graduation.

My parents got me so that's kept there this is this is something I just recently got and it's by the brand so feel I don't really know how to say it I’ll put the link below but it's basically like a Pandora bracelet except for it is way cheaper like insanely cheaper and my mom has a Pandora bracelet and I was looking she showed me her book because I was just kind of looking at it and I always think about getting our chumps, but they're like 40 or $50 per charm depending and some of them are a little cheaper, but most of them are right around that price range and it's just insane, but these the chumps are all like seventeen to twenty dollars, so I figured I would set it down.

so I can show you this in more detail cuz I really do love this so I’ve got like my initial little mickey mouse, music notes, I’m Irish so a shamrock my birthstone, garnet, a little princess carriage just because it reminded me of Cinderella, a cross in the last charm. It's just something I got from a random charm bracelet I already had but the one thing I wish I got and I’m a moron I knew this is all new to me so I didn't know you had to get like little clamps or whatever to kind of hold them in place, so they don't slide off every time you open the bracelet.

So I’m gonna have to be so careful when i take it off but I need to get some whatever they're called spacers or the clips but they sell them on the site for again really cheap so all of these are like seventeen to twenty dollars whereas the fainter ones are like an arm and a leg. They are stupid expensive and this these really do feel really well-made and like I said I was comparing to my mom's and I can't tell the difference to be honest so I just had to share that with you guys because it was really is a good deal and if you're in the market for one of these or even if you're wanting to buy charms for someone you could totally get them from this site and they would fit on the Pandora bracelet too.

So that's another thought and so the last thing in this top drawer is just a really special pearl necklace that I got from my boyfriend's mom for my graduation that I adore and I love it because it's got it's not just a plain pearl necklace, it has these little black beads on it and I think that's just so cool because it just makes it just that little bit different. So it's not just the plain pearls I really really love it so those are kind of all my special items there in this first drawer the second drawer is instead of being completely open there is a divider here and on this side I have most of my bracelets.

So I really only kept a few I kept this one and then this is when I got in a wantable box and then a few others in that matching pearl bracelet and then one from twisted silver and then over here I have my three favourite kind of smaller braid nut bracelets. My three smaller necklaces that aren't like huge statement necklaces, so I was able to still kind of organize them this way so they're not getting all mixed up with each other but I like having them all here because these I wear all the time.

My statement necklaces, I wear you know really not that often but these and my dainty ones I wear on an everyday basis so I like having these all here together and the last drawer is again divided into two sections and this is actually the ring holder so it's got a ton of those rows that you stick your rings between but instead I am using them for stud organization. I was really excited about that because it just kind of hit me one day and I was really I tried it out and it worked and all my studs that I wanted to keep fit in there, so I was so ecstatic that worked well and you know they don't move around and even the big ones the little back part still will fit in there.

So it works really well and this is again a gauge for me all of this is to make sure that I don't get too much jewellery that won't even fit in here because I don't need that many studs but I wear studs more than I wear anything in my ears. So I’ve got quite a collection, I’ve got some my little mickey studs in there, some ones I got from wantable a lot of these are from shop lately, my little pink bow earrings that remind me of Minnie I actually got on shop lately as well. I end up wearing my just boring silver ball earrings all the time as well as my like cubic zirconium little studs.

I wear those all the time and then I have the two watches that I wear all the time just sitting over here I used to have. I was saying this in my declutter video I used to have like 10 watches and they were all really inexpensive but I had all these bright colours and I just I think I’ve just kind of outgrown them and for me I realize on a day-to-day basis I really just needed something with silver and something with gold and that kind of covers any kind of outfit I would wear. So love love love these - this one's geneva which is a really inexpensive one like ten dollars you can buy on amazon and they have all kinds and this is the brand berg ebu rgi.

I don't know how to say it but it was a more expensive brand but I really really liked it and I got it on hautelook for really cheap moving to the right of where that jewellery box was is where I keep my dangly earrings now this I also went through in that declutter video the piece that's holding this was bought a long time ago at big lots for really cheap. So they don't sell this exact one, but big lot still sells a bunch and you can buy earring trees anywhere. I think Claire sells them, you can buy them online if you just type in earring tree and they have much cuter ones in this one this kind of boring but I kind of like that because it's already enough colour going on that I don't want it to look any more cluttered than it already might.

So I like the black anyway but this is what I ended up keeping out of all of my collection. I've got kind of my hoops here and just kind of more muted dangly things there my big old favourite medallion earrings. There these were from target premier designs shop lately premier designs wanna bowl premier designs target shop lately, I don't remember where from and shop lately a lot he's roughly it's almost embarrassing when I see how much money I’ve spent on that site, but there everything's usually like under five dollars so it's a win right? I mean that's not bad but these are all earrings that i wear all the time and I love so those are the ones that I kept and again this is a great way for me to gauge. I don't want to have that much more than this and I certainly don't want more than what I can hold on this but you can see there's a lot of room to grow.

I just kind of space everything out a little more but I certainly have room to grow there so we're now in my closet which is where I keep the few statement necklaces that I kept, sorry this is the lighting's poor but well we are in my closet. I kept this one which I think my boyfriend got, well I know he got it for me, I just don't know where from.

This was from shop lately, I wear all the time this was a premiere designs longer one that I think is really pretty. I'll kind of pull it up so you can see the bottom. I like that one this is one I just recently got from wantable that I really like and then this is a twisted silver one that I really like and I probably could have fit it in my jewellery box, but it would have been kind of cramped in any of the drawers that i would have put it in, so I figure it gets knotted up easily since it's two kind of bizarre strands. So I wanted to keep it kind of separate.

So I keep those in there just kind of on one of these like purse hangers or hat hangers and I’ve got other things in here going on that I need to clearly declutter. My purses and things like that but that's where I’m keeping those big statement necklaces so that they're not getting tangled up and so that I can see what I have there.
